Tennessee Stuns Baltimore 26-13

Chris Johnson struggles for the second week in a row, but Hasselbeck and Britt continue with their excellent play in a 26 to 13 upset of the Baltimore Ravens.  Hasselbeck is looking like he is becoming comfortable among his new surroundings in Tennessee and Kenny Britt and the rest of the team will benefit because of it.

After a stalemate through most of the first half, Flacco hit Ray Rice on a screen pass, who took it 31 yards to the house putting the Ravens on top 7 to 3. The Ravens’ lead was short lived because on the ensuing possession Hasselbeck led the Titans down the field and hit Kenny Britt for a touchdown on a third and three to retake the lead 10-7. Britt finished with 9 receptions for 135 yards and a TD.

On the opening possession of the second half Hasselbeck hit receiver Nate Washington for a 42 yard pass. The Titans finished the drive with Javon Ringer scoring on a ten yard run on a 4th and 1 play, putting the Titans in the lead for good, 17-10, with Titans fans celebrating at the bar or on IM with their buddies as their team cruised into the victory lane.

Chris Johnson had a disappointing game, carrying the rock 24 times for a measly 53 yards. His longest rush of the day was 7 yards, which might be a concern for a player who has the capability to take the ball all the way every time he has it. The Titans got a really good game out of their defense that held the Ravens to just 13 points a week after they dropped thirty on the Steelers. Tennessee will be difficult to beat any week that Hasselbeck plays as well as he did on Sunday.
