Tennessee knew going into this game that if they could jump on the Colts early they could force them to quit and allow themselves to cruise to an easy victory. The Titans were not able to jump on them in the first quarter, but they held Indianapolis to nothing and pounced on the Colts in the second quarter starting with a blocked punt by Pat McAfee which was recovered by Jason McCourty in the end zone for a touchdown for a 10-0 lead.
The Titans were able to follow up this touchdown with another Bironas field goal and a touchdown drive capped with a three yard run by receiver Nate Washington. Matt Hasselbeck has continued his comeback season with another nice performance throwing for 224 yards and a touchdown for a 98 QB Rating.
One big problem still lingers has it has since training camp, and that is Chris Johnson is playing like a bum. On the season Johnson has rushed for 302 yards, averaging 2.8 yards a carry, with only one touchdown. For a man who said he needed a raise, which he did, he is certainly not justifying it at this point. Look for the Titans to begin giving Javon Ringer many more carries as the season progresses.
Tennessee hosts the upstart Bengals next week and will look to bring their season record to 5-3 and a .5 game behind the Texans in the AFC South.
